FINAL FIXTURE FINISHES WITH A WIN!
Celtic 1-2 Blackburn Rovers
No Mame Diouf - he's already left for International duty, but it only took David Dunn 12 minutes to claim his 3rd pre-season goal. In a lively first half it only took Patrick McCourt five minutes to level the scores. Rovers made changes for the second half Alan Judge came off the bench and in less than 3 minutes had given Rovers the lead again thanks to a ball provided by Niko Kalinic (returning from injury).
A much better performance from Blackburn and a great way to end the warm up campaign. Big Sam told the Rovers website "It's always nice to win and get the chance to play in such a great stadium. There was a fantastic atmosphere at Celtic and the pitch was top notch. There were no major injuries from either game so all in all it was a great weekend all around, a win at Celtic after a draw at Hearts in a game we could well have won"

DIOUF GETS ROVERS DEBUT& SCORES!
Hearts 1-1 Blackburn Rovers
Mame Biram Diouf joined up with the Rovers squad in Scotland having signed a one year loan deal from Manchester United. The young striker watched the first half at Tynecastle from the bench, and came on after the break replacing Nick Blackburn. And in a dream debut the Senegalese footballer scored Blackman equaliser!! Rovers had gone 1-0 down when Suso Santana scored a good goal for Hearts after 25 minutes. Rovers certainly looked capable of finding another - but the game ended honours even. So now it's west to Glasgow for the final fixture ahead of the new season next Saturday at Ewood Park.

BRETT SCORES AT HOME - ROVERS WIN AWAY
Sydney FC 1-2 Blackburn Rovers
If you were going to put money on who should score in Australia before the tour ended, it would be Brett Emerton - and it was the Aussie who opened the scoring for Rovers after 37 minutes. Nzonzi's pass to Brett chested down and in. Blackburn's second owed a lot to sub Junior Hoilett, who crossed to Morten Gamst Pedersen to claim what was to be the winning goal. With just nine minutes left Alex Brosuqe claimed Sydney's consolation goal. Rovers end the tournament as runners up and according to GOAL.COM "Sam Allardyce will be pleased with his side’s convincing display against Sydney but a greater concern for the Rovers manager is his shortage of strikers."
The squad now return to the UK and their two final warm up games at Hearts and Celtic.

SAME AGAIN
AEK Athens 2-1 Blackburn Rovers
Phil Jones signed a new contract at the start of the Summer and this morning in Australia he scored his first senior goal! But sadly it was only a consolation, and Rovers pre-season run of defeats continued as they found themselves 2-0 down before pulling one back through a Jones header. Heavy rain made things tough, but Blackburn were two down in 24 minutes, first from Scocco and then Liberopoulos. So two down and one to play on Saturday before returning home fro the final warm upon games North of the border.

FIRST DEFEAT DOWN UNDER
Rangers 2-1 Blackburn Rovers
Just 24 hours after arriving in Australia - Rovers were in action for the Sydney Festival. And despite some good play in the first half, conceded twice as Maurice Edu and Kenny Miller both found the target. Much better from Blackburn in the second half- and when Junior Hoilett was brought down, David Dunn scored his second in pre season - from the spot. Rangers were also awarded a penalty - but Miller found the cross bar. The Lancashire Telegraph also report that: " Sam Allardyce was also given the boost of seeing his World Cup quartet come off
the bench to feature for the first time this summer."
The festival continues for Rovers on Wednesday when they meet up with AEK Athens. Blackburn have also announced an extra pre-season friendly in Scotland at the start of August - they will now play Celtic on Sunday August 8th.

NARROW DEFEAT AT HUDDERSFIELD
Hudderfield Town 1-0 Blackburn Rovers
Just a goal in it - and by all account a cracker - and unfortunately not for Rovers ... Another debut goal (like last night) this time from Joey Guðjónsson. His 20 yard volley the only goal in the game. Ahead of the Australia trip Rovers fielded a much changes squad from the game at PNE. So after two defeats it's now three big games down under.

FIRST PRE-SEASON DEFEAT AT DEEPDALE
Preston North End 3-0 Blackburn Rovers
After 5 goals in two games at the weekend, Rovers were unable to score one at a very damp Deepdale. They suffered their first pre-season defeat at their Lancashire neighbors, with all three goals coming without reply.
Paul Hayes scored twice with his head on his debut, former Rovers Callum Davidson's cross setting up his first and then Keith Treacy for the second. Then Chris Brown tied things up scoring from the spot after the break. Blackburn are back in action tomorrow night at Hudderfield - and will hope for much better weather and result.
