GOOD
WARM UP ON A WARM NIGHT
Blackburn Rovers 0-0 Hibernian
The plaudits probably go to new loan player 21 year
old FRANCO DI SANTO who looked lively from the off and had a cracking
close ranger header blocked by the Hibbs keeper. Morten Gamst Pedersen
almost scored from an early free kick, Jason Roberts shot wide (a
few times) Paul Gallagher came close ... and, you're getting the
picture. Big Chris Samba tried to recapture last seasons
striker roll & also came close and with four second half substitutions,
'Junior' Hoilett came on and almost had a home debut goal. A good
crowd of well over 5000 had chance to see many of this summer signings
in action, and would have been frustrated NOT to see any goals from
Rovers. They created nearly all the chances and Big Sam told RADIO
ROVERS "The only thing that was missing was the finishing touch
in front of goal, everything else is moving along quite nicely.
Plenty of chances created but unfortunately none taken." Dundee
on Saturday completes the pre-season friendlies. (5th August 2009)
