Blackburn Rovers conceded their first pre-season goal just 59 seconds into the second half at Ewood Park, and lost to Sporting Lisbon 0-1. A true game of two halves , with some good first half performances and a less impressive 45 minutes after the break. It was the Portuguese substitute Marius Niculae who scored a sloppy goal just after the interval, and despite more chances, Peter Enckleman was more than up to the test.
